Welcome to Astute Signals, a service provided by Unify Health Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). Astute Signals is an intelligent wellness service designed for professionals navigating a world of back-to-back virtual meetings. Our purpose is to provide you with private, data-driven insights into your own well-being by analyzing the meetings you attend.
This Privacy Policy explains how Unify Health Inc. collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our Astute Signals application, AI companion, and personal dashboard (collectively, the "Services").
Your privacy and the confidentiality of your insights are the foundation of our service. By using Astute Signals, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information only when necessary to provide our Services and we are committed to principles of data minimization.
A. Information You Provide Directly:
Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, and password to create and secure your account.
B. Information Collected During Meeting Analysis (Only With Your Explicit Action): Our AI companion only collects data from meetings you explicitly invite it to. When invited, the companion confidentially analyzes the following:
Vocal Data: We analyze your vocal patterns (such as tone, pitch, and pace). To protect your privacy, we do not perform speech-to-text transcription. We do not process, store, or know the content of your conversations.
Video Data: We analyze your video feed for non-identifying wellness indicators, which may include using remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) to estimate heart rate. Our analysis is focused on wellness trends, not on identifying you or others in the meeting.
Meeting Metadata: We may collect contextual, non-personal data about the meeting, such as its duration, to help provide context for your wellness report.
C. Information We Collect Automatically from Your Use of Our Service:
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our Services (e.g., your dashboard), such as features used and session times.
Device Information: We collect standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and operating system.
2. How We Use Your Information
Our use of your data is strictly limited to providing and improving your personal wellness insights.
To Generate Your Private Wellness Reports: To analyze your vocal and video data to produce private reports on wellness indicators like stress levels and estimated heart rate. These reports are for your eyes only.
To Personalize Your Experience and Show Trends: To use your historical data to create a personal dashboard that shows you trends over time.
To Communicate With You: To send essential service-related communications, security alerts, and support responses.
For Research and Development: We may use fully anonymized and aggregated data to improve our AI models. This data cannot be linked back to you.
To Ensure Security and Comply with Law: To maintain the security of our platform and comply with any applicable legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
Your personal reports and analyzed meeting data are 100% confidential. We do not share this data with anyone, including your employer or other meeting participants.
We Do Not Sell Your Data: We will never sell your personal data.
With Service Providers: We share information with trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as secure cloud hosting and AI processing. They are bound by strict confidentiality obligations.
Anonymized and Aggregated Data: We may share data that is fully anonymized and aggregated for academic or industry research.
For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition of Unify Health Inc., your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Interaction with Third-Party Services (Zoom)
Our service integrates with communication platforms like Zoom. Your use of Zoom is governed by Zoom’s own Privacy Policy. Astute Signals only accesses meeting data when you explicitly invite our AI companion to the call.
5. Data Security and Retention
We employ state-of-the-art security measures to protect your information, including end-to-end encryption and strict internal access controls. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
6. Your Data Subject Rights
You are in control of your personal information. You have the following rights:
The Right to Access: You can request a copy of your personal data.
The Right to Rectification: You can correct inaccurate account information.
The Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can request that we delete your personal information.
The Right to Data Portability: You have the right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: The wellness data we collect may be considered "Sensitive Personal Information." We only use this information to provide the Astute Signals service to you. You have the right to limit the use and disclosure of this data.
No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
How to Exercise Your Rights: You can exercise many of these rights directly through your Astute Signals account dashboard. You can edit your profile information at any time and can permanently delete your account by navigating to Account Settings > Delete Account. For all other requests, including accessing a copy of your data, please contact us directly via email. To ensure the security of your account, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
8. Children's Privacy
Astute Signals is a professional service and is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have done so, we will take steps to delete that information.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our service or the law. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date," posting the new policy on our website, and/or sending you an email.
